Controlling care via a provider panel is critical. If a patient uses a provider not on the panel in a non-emergency situation the employer is not required to pay for services rendered. After this 90 day control period employees may treat with a medical care provider of their choosing.
WorkWell will create and distribute provider panels meeting these criteria to all your participating locations. For larger clients substantial discounts below the fee schedule are available on PT and Diagnostic services. These discounts have saved our clients millions!
Discount PT and Diagnostic providers can be added to the panel and WorkWell will reprice and discount the bills before they are sent to be paid. They come to you ready for payment no need for further repricing.
All Discount WellNet providers are rigorously screened before being recruited and constantly monitored. WorkWell employs the following criteria for choosing network providers:
- Identify providers that meet panel and location criteria
- Investigate the background of potential providers
- Determine if prospective provider has adequate insurance coverage
- Conduct a thorough review of all malpractice suits, if any
- Check licensure
- Determine experience with workers’ compensation cases
- Discern provider’s willingness to cooperate and communicate with WorkWell’s established Managed Care Program
- Ensure the prospective provider has adequate staff to facilitate the flow of information
- Determine what acute care procedures the prospective provider is able to perform
- Determine HIPAA compliance
It is critical that providers comply with WorkWell treatment guidelines. WellNet providers are bound by a business service agreement to comply with WorkWell treatment guidelines and HIPAA regulations. |
