WorkWell’s WellNet physicians use their clinical knowledge to scrutinize the case. After reviewing a case in question, our physicians contact the treating physician. They present alternative treatments in an effort to satisfactorily resolve the case. A report is then generated including the outcome and sent immediately to all relevant parties. This report clearly outlines any issues preventing satisfactory resolution and suggests additional steps such as an IME or transferring ongoing care to another provider.
The WorkWell physicians also provide his or her opinion of the care conducted and additional options. These case managing physicians can also mediate between physicians in cases where care is deadlocked between conflicting physicians’ opinions.
