It is critical that all WellNet providers comply with WorkWell's established procedures and protocols. WorkWell's approach to network contracting is to select quality providers with experience in workers' compensation.
Quality care from knowledgeable providers avoids the early pitfalls that can derail a case. WorkWell thoroughly evaluates providers and focuses its contracts on treatment and billing using our proprietary treatment guidelines and operating procedures. Accordingly, WellNet providers are bound by a business service agreement to comply with WorkWell treatment guidelines, billing procedures and HIPAA regulations.
Because WorkWell engages providers to render treatment according to specific standards our Provider Relations Department interacts with provider to resolve conflicts, update information and answer general questions. The key is not to contract with any provider that will sign-up but to verify and re-verify that a provider meets appropriate standards.
The process of updating provider credentials and evaluating provider status is constant and ongoing.
Any credentialing changes are communicated to all necessary parties immediately though periodic network updates.
WorkWell uses a 3 strike policy for providers, eliminating those providers who have not performed to WorkWell’s high standards.
We have had exceptional success retaining qualified medical care providers with and annual turnover rate of less than 1%.
