WorkWell also offers physician to physician case management, case review, utilization review, consulting.  WorkWell provides physician to physician case management using only board certified physicians with diverse specialties.  This service line is particularly useful for lingering full and partial disability claims that are still treating. WorkWell’s case management physicians use the Official Disability Guidelines as a benchmark for the treatments conducted.  In addition, to the ODG, WorkWell physicians use their clinical knowledge to scrutinize the case.  After reviewing a case in question, our physicians contact the treating physician.  They present alternative treatments in an effort to satisfactorily resolve the case. A report is then generated including the outcome and sent immediately to you.  This report clearly outlines the any issues preventing satisfactory resolution and suggested additional steps such as an IME or transferring on going care to another provider.  The WorkWell physicians also provided his or her opinion of the care conducted and additional options.  These case managing physicians can also mediate between physicians in cases where care is deadlocked between conflicting physician’s opinions.

Physician to physician case management and case review is also invaluable in cases of catastrophic injury such as trauma or burn center cases.  They can monitor these cases and report to the Water and Sewer Authority on the status and potential outcomes of the case.  Cost for these services ranges from $95-$135 based on complexity and specialization required.
